Dear Parents,
A couple of suggestions to keep us all safe while being picked up and dropped off each day.
1.
Please be mindful of our friends and neighbors on Turner Street. Turner Street is narrow and it is difficult for residents on that street to back out of their driveways. Please drive slowly and watch out for those residents. Also, there are small children in some of the homes on that street, and that is another reason to drive cautiously.
2.
The school opens each day at 7:30 a.m. and students should not be dropped off earlier than 7:30. Middle School 1st period Athletics can be dropped off at 7:25 a.m.
3.
When dropping off or picking up middle and upper school students, please use the parking lot area off Teague Street at the
end of the library
. Carpool is not in the circle parking lot. In the afternoons, please be aware that there is a double line of cars waiting to pick up students and this requires students to step out into the driveway. Please be extra cautious if you have to drive between these lines to park your car and come into the main building for any reason during pick-up time.
4.
Please pick up and drop off ONLY in designated areas. DO NOT pick up or drop-off your child on the street or in the Upper School Parking Lot
- Kindergarten - 5th Grade = back of Martin Hall steps
- 2 year olds - Pre-K = side of Martin Hall
- 6th-12th grades = by the Robbins Library off Teague Street
5.
Please keep the line moving by pulling up as the cars in front of you move.
6.
Please display your carpool tag during pick-up and drop-off for Early Childhood - Lower School Carpool (2yrs.-5th grades). Remember to pull up to the color cone when picking up.
7. School Safety Officers help keep everyone safe by helping during carpool. All safety officers are police officers with the Longview Police Department and are required to enforce the laws.
8.
Also, students must be signed out in the Main Office if leaving during the school day.
9.
When picking up children from Extended Enrichment, please park in a parking spot and not in the drive way/ fire lane.
Thanks for your help in keeping everyone safe!
