What is the leaf collection schedule?
Leaf collection continues through the end of
this week. Additional dates may be added if it becomes necessary
or if weather permits.
Where Do I Place My Leaves?
Leaves should be placed near or in the curb of the street. Please place leaves away from storm inlets as leaf decay can clog storm sewers and add unwanted material to Lake Michigan.
Can I Throw Yard Waste in the Leaf Pile?
At this time of year, the Village encourages property owners to throw certain yard waste material (this includes plant material such as flowers and garden material;
no grass clippings) in the leaf piles to preclude a separate yard waste pick-up. Branches, sticks, and other woody material should not be placed with the leaves and should be left on the parkway for chipping. Check out the Brush Chipper section below for more detail.

News from the Health Department
Did you know? Now is the time to enroll in or change 2019 Marketplace health insurance. The 2019 Open Enrollment Period runs from Thursday, November 1, 2018, to Saturday, December 15, 2018.
The Health Insurance Marketplace is for people who don't have health insurance coverage through a job, Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or another source that provides qualifying health coverage. You can sign up for health insurance on your state's health insurance exchange or individual marketplace only during the annual open enrollment period, unless you have a "qualifying life event," such as getting married or having a baby.
If you take no action, you will be automatically re-enrolled in your current policy. If you buy health insurance through your workplace, your employer will inform you about its open enrollment period.
