July 31st is Harry Potter’s Birthday! While we can’t celebrate in person this year, we are hosting a special Harry Potter-themed Puzzle Room for all ages on our website from July 31st through August 7th.

Outdoor browsing will be available on Mondays and Thursdays from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Please wear a mask and join us in the children's courtyard to choose from a selection of books and movies. Meg and Maureen will be available to help answer questions, make suggestions, and get requests.

Participants can earn raffle tickets for great prizes. The Grand Prize will be awarded on August 24th!

There Will Be No Friends Board Meeting in August

The September board meeting of the Friends of Tiverton Libraries will be held on Wednesday, September 8th, at 6:30pm. Depending on the status of COVID-19 response at that time and any restrictions preventing in-library meetings, the Friends Board meeting may be held virtually.

The Friends of Tiverton Libraries Board Is Now Recruiting Board Members
The purpose of the Friends of Tiverton Libraries is to expand educational and cultural library programming through publicity, outreach, membership organization, book sales, craft sales, and other efforts.

The Friends is looking for leaders with:
  • a passion for libraries and community
  • a commitment to participate at most monthly board meetings and to help out with group efforts like the Book Nook, the Book Sale, the Craft Sale, or membership organization
  • positive and effective communication skills (talk, text, email)
