World Day of Prayer for Care of Creation
“September 1 marks the six-year anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation in the Catholic Church. On this day last year, Pope Francis encouraged the faithful to observe the Season of Creation – an ecumenical initiative that begins September 1 and ends on October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi – through increased prayer and a simpler lifestyle.” See full USCCB statement HERE. Additional resources in English and Spanish HERE. Article featuring remarks from Pope Francis HERE.
Divine Worship Newsletter
Find the September issue of the Divine Worship Newsletter here: DWNL September 2020. Don’t miss the article about permissions and projection in Chapter 6 which should be of interest for most parishes: Information Regarding Copyright Permissions and Projection of Mass Texts. In summary, the readings at Holy Mass and the texts of the Roman Missal (e.g. Gloria, Creed) cannot be projected onto screens in churches. Music texts and notation usually can be, but each publisher’s policies should be consulted.
