How my Catholic faith has resonated with me today as a teenager:
  • There are a lot of times in today's world, especially on social media, where it is really easy to jump on the bandwagon of spreading hate instead of love. Many feel that respect for others is optional based on their feelings about them.
The dominating idea online is to fight hate with        hate, and even though some are simply trying to      defend the defenseless, that doesn't make it okay.
Being Catholic helps me feel less isolated in              avoiding the hate train because my faith says that    everyone is deserving of God's love and my         respect no matter what.

What I learned at SSPP that has helped me be successful in high school:
  • Definitely English! Everything we were taught was super helpful in my freshman and sophomore year English classes and put me way ahead of my classmates.
Teacher at SSPP who had the most influence on me:
  • Ms. Mahoney! She challenged me on every assignment to do better than the one before and that's something that has stayed with me throughout high school.
Favorite Peter and Paul Experience that I Cherish:
  • Being in the cast of Bye Bye Birdie in 8th grade. It was so much fun to perform onstage with all my friends, and it was easily the highlight of my year.
Advice for Current 8th Grade Students:
  • Getting involved in sports, clubs, and theater is a great way to meet new people and make friends while also having a lot of fun!
