Karina Lapp (Treasurer)

Our complete board also includes Aaron Hatch, Angela Cordell, Jenny Lynn Buntin, Rory Greek, Julie Gussenhoven, Lucky Jesrani, Katie Leach, Jason Salter, Susan Seamans and Anna Tracy.

If you are looking for a way to contribute more to the success of the library, please consider joining the board. We'll be looking for new members to start in April! Contact Jean with any questions: jean@shastalibraryfoundation.org
Heather Vaughan Lee began as the new Executive Assistant on January 3. She has a background in book publicity, non-profit marketing, and non-profit fundraising, served on a board for ten years, and is a published author. Heather says "I'm so excited to be able to give back to the library, when they have done so much for my almost-five-year-old daughter. She is turning into a reader and library-lover due in large part to the wonderful children's programming and the sense of community offered by the Shasta Public Library." You can contact Heather directly at heather@shastalibraryfoundation.org.
Supporting the Library
Because of the generous support of our donors, a number of library programs, services, and projects have been successful and we want to share that success with you!
Graphic novels are a great way to pull reluctant readers into the wonderful world of reading. Thank you to Bob and Janet Phillips for helping us add 60 graphic novels to the children's section through a Scripps Howard Foundation  grant!
Because of Fred Skill and a  Scripps Howard Foundation  grant the Library added more tools and supplies for you to explore your creativity in the Redding Library's Create It! Space. A sewing machine, a "Cricut Maker" craft cutter, and cutting mats were added.
This tree, burnt by the Carr Fire, was salvaged and transformed into a beautiful soon-to-be addition to our Outdoor Explore Children's Garden . Thank you to our friends at  The City of Redding !
We hope you will consider adding your name to the list of donors who help enhance the services and resources of the  Shasta Public Libraries   today and for generations to come. Donations can be made monthly for as low as $5!
“A public library is the most enduring of memorials, the trustiest monument for the preservation of an event or a name or an affection; for it, and it only, is respected by wars and revolutions, and survives them."

-Mark Twain
