Town of Greenwich Tropical Storm Isaias Response Update (8/7- 11:30AM)
Town of Greenwich continues its full mobilization in creating safe conditions throughout the community in response to Tropical Storm Isaias. The scale of the tree damage suffered to the public utilities within Greenwich is widespread, complex, and requires a highly coordinated and technical response. Visit GreenwichCT.gov for updates and resources from various town departments.


Recent CT REALTORS® Board of Directors Actions
CT REALTORS® held its first ever virtual Board of Directors meeting this month via Zoom. The Board approved the 2021 CTR budget which retains dues at the current level and amended the bylaws to make administrative changes to governance descriptions and procedures along with enhancing the eligibility requirements for the Vice President at Large position.


CT Rental Housing and Mortgage Assistance Programs
The Department of Housing and the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority launched a web portal to manage eligibility and screening of applicants for the new temporary Rental Housing Assistance and Mortgage Assistance programs. Each program has $10,000,000 available to assist those struggling to pay housing costs due to COVID-19.


Reaffirmation of Fair Housing Principles (NAR Video)
NAR Director of Fair Housing Policy Bryan Greene reaffirms our fair housing principles and shares why those principles matter in this current climate of examining racial inequality and the pandemic.


NAR's Sustainability Summit (Recording)
NAR's latest virtual event, the Sustainability Summit, focused on sustainability in real estate and communities. Presenters looked at short and long term goals, as well as the impact, expectations and awareness of sustainability in real estate. NAR research says more buyers are considering options like energy efficient appliances and insulation. Here is a peek at insights from Jessica Lautz, NAR's Vice President, Demographics and Behavioral Insights.


Registration Information for Greenwich Public Schools
Due to the increase in home rental and purchasing activity in Greenwich, the team at Greenwich Public Schools has created a Public School Listings and Registration resource for Realtors to share with families who may be considering registering their children for Greenwich Public Schools. Once families are registered they are added to the GPS email list and will receive updates directly from the District, including planning information on school reopening during COVID-19.

The Center for REALTOR® Financial Wellness will offer a webinar called "The Ultimate Guide to Real Estate Investing" on Wednesday, August 26 at 2 PM EDT. This training is designed for real estate agents who are interested in learning how to get started in real estate investing. The instructor will also take time to teach the calculations and formula’s that residential and commercial investors/brokers use when locating and underwriting investment properties.
