CareVention HealthCare was delighted to host Portland Uncorked! - our PACE Appreciation Dinner, as well as the NPA's annual Awards Luncheon, at the 2018 NPA Annual Conference in Portland, Oregon, last month. We had 250 attendees join us to honor Dr. Richard Schamp and to learn about the unveiling of CareVention HealthCare.

On September 20 - 21, CareKinesis hosted its 12th CAP meeting in Orlando, FL, bringing together PACE Medical Directors from across the country. The meeting provided a forum for CareKinesis clinical pharmacists to interact with the Medical Directors and encourage collaboration to benefit PACE participants.

Participants were able to earn CME, ACPE, and CNE continuing education credits, and view various clinical presentations.

Orsula V. Knowlton, PharmD, MBA, received the CEO Report "Mid-Atlantic Women's Leadership Award" at a gala ceremony held October 10, 2018 in Philadelphia, PA.

CEO Report's Women's Leadership Award "honors CEOs and executives who are moving their companies and communities forward. The women selected are trailblazers in business and truly stand out for being passionate about philanthropy and inspiring up and coming leaders." Winners are selected based on criteria including their companies' growth and dedication to giving back to the community.

We are committed to our PACE participants' medication safety.  When an FDA recall is issued, CareKinesis communicates recall information within 24 - 72 hours of notification, based on the severity of the issue. CareKinesis only communicates recall information related to CareKinesis or Community pharmacy network inventory.  In other words, you will only hear from us if it impact your participants' medications and/or safety.

The damage and flooding caused by Hurricane Florence has been difficult for both the staff and participants at PACE Organizations impacted in Lafayette and Wilmington, NC. Once again, the TRHC family of companies put our fundamentals into action to help our PACE partners during their time of need. Employee donations to each PACE Organization were matched by TRHC and totaled $12,465 for each. We were thrilled by the generous response by our Team and their 'focus on others.'

On Thursday, September 27, CareKinesis and TRU PACE hosted the "Unintentional Misuse of Opioids: Using Pharmacogenomics to Guider Therapy" educational event at Nissi's in Layfayette, CO. Participants were able to earn CE Credit and COPIC program points.

At a recent PACE partner visit to CenterLight Healthcare, CareKinesis pharmacists addressed diabetes care and counseled participants on proper insulin therapy and hypoglycemia management. The sessions were well received, and the participants appreciated the training.
