Happy New Year, Friend!

At GJEP, we've hit the ground running. Our new business development manager, Mara Hardy, has been making the rounds with the local tech community and together they are brewing up some great efforts for the Grand Valley that will help put our community on the #TechObsessed map (catch up with Mara on our Instagram feed).

I have been catching up with our new Governor Jared Polis and filling his team in on the needs and opportunities on the West Slope. I'm excited to see that support of our efforts on the western side of the state will continue at the capitol with this new administration.

Speaking of, our team visited Denver last week for a special Opportunity Zone event where we were able to pitch our eligible sites and properties to potential investors. We made some wonderful connections and are looking forward to the follow-up in the days and weeks to come.

Rosy Outlook for Mesa County

Last month, economist Richard Wobbekind once again shared the economic outlook for the state with the release of the CU Leeds School of Business 54th Annual Business Economic Outlook.

Wobbekind predicts Mesa County will experience one of the healthiest economies in the state this year, thanks to industry diversification and a lower cost of living. GJEP, a contributor to the report, was delighted to receive this confirmation that our efforts are beginning to pay off!
