Giving Statements
At more than halfway through the year, it's a good time to review your giving statement. If you are part of our online directory, you can check this anytime using these instructions. If you would like to join the online directory, click here.
Our staff is happy to assist. If you prefer not to be part of the online directory and would like a statement sent to you via email or the post office, call Dan Reid at 817-431-1332 (leave a message that he can pick up working from home) or email him. Dan can also assist if you find an error or have a question. Thank you for giving faithfully as you are able during these trying times.

Please notify your church family at 817-431-1332 if you or a loved one are hospitalized, or if there has been a birth, death or wedding in your family. If you are in need of pastoral care, let us know as well and a minister will respond.

Should I Stay or Should I Go Now?
Solomon was only a child, but was given the authority to be king. With such authority upon his head he confessed that he did not know even the simplest of tasks - when to go or when to stay. How does Solomon know how to move in such times? The spiritual practice of discernment - predictions (plans?) and promises.

Join our pastors for Evening Prayer every night at 9pm. Evening Prayer is streamed on
Feasting with the Word Wednesdays in August and September, 12-1pm, join others who would like to explore the Gospel of Mark with Pastor Jason. Each session will explore two chapters of the Gospel of Mark with questions and reflections. This is a Bible study via Zoom, so bring your own lunch and we will provide the link (we will even provide the scripture on the screen for you). First session is August 5! Request Zoom access!
Spiritual Direction Ministry
KUMC is excited to offer a new ministry to our congregation - Spiritual Direction. Spiritual direction is an intentional time to reflect and deepen your relationship with God while taking a look at what is going on in your everyday life with someone who is trained to listen deeply and to help you recognize the work of the Holy Spirit. This video answers common questions, but for more information or to make an appointment, email Tonya Minton Maxon, or call or text 817-601-8873. Meeting can be held via FaceTime or Zoom.

Getting Ready for Back to School
Calling all students, teachers and educators! We want you to know we are with you as we begin this next school year. On Saturday, August 22, from 10am-12pm, drive through the porte cochere to receive a back to school blessing and backpack tag. Make a lap around the building and enjoy popsicles in the parking lot, drop books off for the youth ministry book drive and take a picture at the family photo booth.

Project Transformation Book Drive
Project Transformation is a national literacy outreach of the United Methodist Church, and the Fort Worth chapter needs help! They are asking everyone to donate chapter books for children in second grade through high school. The Youth are sponsoring a book drive to help fill the shelves! We ask that youth bring in books, new or gently-used, to help meet our goal of 250 donations. (Every ten books count for 30 minutes of community service!) Drop off books on Saturday, August 22, from 10am-12pm. Get details here!

7-Up Welcome Weekend
We are excited to welcome our 7th graders to the Youth Program in style! How will we do it?! During the week of August 9-15, upperclassmen will deliver small gifts and welcome signs to each new student. They'll also leave personal invitations asking students to participate in youth events and activities. You must register your child for this event. However, we want it to be a surprise so try to keep it a secret! The youth member designated as your child's welcome buddy will connect with you about the best time to deliver the surprise. Please, provide the phone number at which it is easiest to reach you. Contact Abigail Herrington if you have any questions. 7th grade parents and guardians registration open through August 7!
