A sophisticated Bedford couple wanted a Master Suite that reflected their well traveled lifestyle and love of the outdoors. DW Design & Decor was hired to bring their wish list to reality.
A large TAPA was framed and hung above the headboard as the starting point for all furnishings. We wanted this room to look collected, filled with texture and natural materials!
Older casement windows were swapped out for larger single pane versions. On the left wall, an oddly placed window that overlooked the roof, was removed and replaced with transom windows placed high up on the wall for a view of the trees and lush greenery. The changes made the room seem as if it were a bright treehouse in the middle of the woods.
The fully renovated bathroom continued in this style with sea glass accent tiles and beautiful marble countertop. It replaced the previously odd footprint that included a corner shower, and corner sinks that made for lots of wasted space. A water closet was removed that allowed for a better utilization of space, and filled the room with natural light.
They now have a spa bathroom, complete with radiant heated floors, which is the calming start and end to their day.
