ANNUAL MEAL APPLICATION- Thank you!

If you have not already done so, please fill out a meal application for your student. As with all public schools, the Academy needs to do its due diligence to gather information from its families. And we are incentivizing with a free Panda Express Orange Chicken lunch. Complete the form by the November 9th deadline and your child will receive orange chicken for lunch on Monday, November 19.

Here is more information about why schools are required to seek completed forms:
  • It can benefit your child who can receive an emergency lunch if they forgot their lunch (no more picking up lunch last minute for the kiddos)
  • It helps our school have complete reporting to the state of CA,
  • and most importantly the number of applications returned and approved can affect how much funding our school receives to help students meet academic benchmarks, including books and computers, which benefits all students

The deadline to submit an application is November 9th for the current school year. Paper forms are available in the office or on the Titan website. The link can be found on our Academy website under Resources/Lunch Program.

Your information is confidential!
Thanks so much for helping the Academy.

HOST FAMILIES FOR EXCHANGE STUDENT PROGRAM
There is no better way to introduce young people to other cultures than with an exchange program. The Academy is working with  Greenheart Exchange to establish a student exchange program.

There are a few opportunities to become a host family:

  • Greenheart is currently looking for a host family for an Italian exchange student who is a current Junior at the Academy.  He speaks fluent Italian and English and has a stellar academic record.

  • Greenheart is also looking for host families for two exchange students to join the Academy this Spring.

If you are interested in learning more about being a host family, please contact the local Greenheart coordinator, Hadeel Judeh at 562-644-0008 or  hjgreenheart@gmail.com.

Mrs. Day's family is currently hosting an exchange student and is happy to help answer questions about being a host family. Feel free to email her at crystal.day@academylongbeach.org.
