HBAV-

This month, the members of the International Code Council (ICC) will vote on changes to the building and energy codes that impact our industry in states and localities that adopt some version of the next model codes. As you know, these building and energy codes have an immediate and significant impact on our industry’s ability to provide a diversity of housing stock, at all price points, to every corner of the Commonwealth.

Today, we are asking for your help in contacting voting members of the International Code Council to ask them to consider our position on 15 code proposals that would impact the single-family and multi-family residential land development and construction industry.

Please review the list of Virginia's ICC voting members here - if you know any of the individuals on the list, or feel comfortable reaching out to any of them, please send them an email to thank them for their service on the International Code Council and asking for their consideration of our positions on the 15 code proposals that we have identified as having a direct impact on the single-family and multi-family construction industry. The list of code proposals that we have taken a position on can be found here - please download this list and attach it to the email that you send to the voting members of the ICC.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Andrew
