Aloha!
This past weekend was a big one @ the MACC. Even tho the weather was a bit wet, it certainly did not dampen the spirits at our various events. In fact, we had many, many happy campers at our free Artists in Community shows... and at the free ArT=Mixx ... and at our free screening of The Big Game.
It was a THREE FREE week!
Thursday
:
Henry Kapono and Robi Kahakalau visited Lihikai School, Hale Mahaolu Senior Center, and Lahainaluna School as part of our ongoing Artists in Community program.
Saturday
: Another super creative effort by the MACC team resulted in the production of our free
ArT=Mixx:EcoEvolution
- a celebration of performance art, music, and visual arts that lit up the Pavilion and Amphitheater as the thematically-costumed crowd watched, danced, and partied on.
Sunday:
The MACC was host to two free big-screen presentations of
The Big Game
-- and hundreds came to our house to cheer their teams and socialize with friends.
(Check out me with Betty Leis, above, smeared with Big Game spirit @ the MACC!
)
MAHALO to our performing artists for sharing their talents with us -- and with special thanks we acknowledge the generosity of our
MACC members
,
donors,
and sponsors
who make it possible for all on Maui to enjoy these great FREE days @ the MACC.
