SERMON SERIES CONCLUDES SUNDAY
QUESTIONS THINKING PEOPLE ASK
We all have questions… But what about those difficult questions which challenge our faith and leave us searching? Is the earth really over a billion years old? How can God allow good people to suffer? What about religious wars, does God approve? And the Bible, did God command violence and genocide? We all wrestle with these questions. Both non-believers and people who are deeply committed to their faith struggle to answer and re-answer these perplexing questions.

How to be God’s Man… This world esteems men of power, wealth, and success. Masculinity is defined by the strength of a man's body, mind, and investment portfolio. But what is God’s concept of masculinity? What portrait does the Bible paint of manhood? In this 5-part course, Todd Wagner, Senior Pastor of Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas, walks through five facets of biblical manhood, giving powerful imperatives on how to be God’s man. Please join us!

RUMMAGE UPDATE!
To all those who contributed to, shopped at, and helped at our December Rummage, enjoy this Thank You   from GreenDrop, who picks up our leftovers: “Dear Wayne Church, Thank you   SO much for once again having GreenDrop pick up the Charitable donations!   Over 75 bags and boxes were collected, and all went to help St. Vincent de Paul and their volunteer mission to aid the needy in the Philadelphia region.”     It's great to think of the many ways our contributions are helping others right here in Wayne and throughout the region.    Usually at this time, the Rummage Team is elbow deep in processing your donations for our next sale, but this year we are taking a pause to develop new leadership and new ways to do this team ministry better.   We'll get back to you soon with future plans, but in the meantime, if you'd like to join in the leadership of this fun and worthwhile ministry, please let the church office know, or email outgoing Team Leader, Virginia Gardiner below.
GIVING BEAN GIVING!
Do you like coffee or tea and want an easy way to support our Costa Rica Mission Team?

QUARTERLY FINANCE UPDATE
For the full year 2018, operating revenue of $807,452 exceeded the budget due primarily to higher offering.  Operating expenses of $812,606 also exceeded the budget due to higher property expenses associated with office and nursery relocations and landscaping improvements.  In addition, church reserves were utilized for further property investment with the introduction of The Well ($45,000). Entering 2019, a further increase in pledges is expected to offset a decrease in rental income due to the departure of Christ Church Anglican.  In addition, the 2019 budget reflects a 2% expense reduction versus 2018 in order to balance the budget and maintain the current level of reserves.
