The students of Neuse Charter School's National Honor Society recently led a competitive fundraiser to support a school within our state that was directly impacted by Hurricane Florence. Alexis Flach and Tara LePage (President and Vice President of the NCS National Honor Society) reported that students raised $1,626.15 through NCS Penny Wars (including a donation of $732 from an anonymous donor/local business owner)! Although the fundraiser was originally a competition between the Intermediate and Senior Academies, Neuse's Primary students were so excited about Penny Wars that they had to join!
Johnston County kids are leading the way to make a positive difference -- which truly makes ALL of the students involved winners!
