Seneca County Republican Party
The Seneca County Republican Executive Committee will meet Thursday, January 3 at 7:00 pm at the Public Safety Building on the county fairgrounds in Tiffin. The meeting is open to the press and public.

The primary purpose of the meeting is to recommend a candidate to the Ohio Secretary of State for the Board of Elections seat beginning March 1 for a four year term. The seat is currently held by Mike Bridinger, and he is a candidate for re-appointment. No one else has informed me of their intention to be a candidate. The SOS must appoint whoever the committee recommends, except in limited circumstances detailed in Ohio Revised Code section 3501.07 . There is more information in Directive 2018-42 . The vote will be by roll call.

Also on the agenda will be renewal of our Constant Contact email service. Scroll down to the fine print at the bottom, and you will see that it is this email. Since we have added names to the list, the cost will be $459.

The February 7 meeting to appoint a new county treasurer has been moved to the County Services Building, 900 E C.R. 20, Tiffin. It is just south of the county jail, off State Route 100.
Wednesday luncheon
Mark your calendar for the monthly luncheon, Wednesday, January 9 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm in the back room at Fort Ball Pizza, 91 N. Washington St., Tiffin. Everyone is welcome. Party treasurer Jim Cline will host, since I will be in Columbus for election official meetings with new Secretary of State Frank LaRose. Director Jim Ehrman, Deputy Director Lori Ritzler, and I will be graduating as Ohio Registered Election Officials. (We get to be OREOs! You'd think they would give us a box of cookies, but apparently not.) No cookies at Fort Ball, but there is all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad bar for only $5.99 plus beverage, tax, and tip. You can come and go as your schedule permits. It's Jim Cline's first time as host, so please join him if you can.
