Empathy Parenting for LYFE
February 10 @ 11:15 in the Social Hall

Empathy is at the heart of what it means to be human.  It's the foundation for acting ethically, for good relationships, and for loving well.  It is also at the heart of preventing bullying and racism.  Heather Alden and Kathryn Johnson, Hennepin members and professionals in our public schools, will lead a discussion on what empathy looks like in children and what we can do to foster these important skills.

Special Sunday School Project
On Sunday, February 17th, we will join with Brooklyn United Methodist Church for a special combined worship service.  This means combined Sunday School, too!  We would like to invite the BUMC kids to join the Hennepin Kids in creating 150 Roadside Kindness kits.

You can help by bringing donations of soft granola bars, lip balm, travel sized hand lotion, and hand warmers.  Donations will be accepted in the education wing from Sunday, February 10-Sunday, February 17th.
Copper Street Brass
Family Concert
Sunday, February 17 @ 1:00 in the Sanctuary
Being a professional musician is something people do as a job. Just like a builder builds houses, we musicians use tools (instruments) and materials (building blocks of music) to do our job of building songs. We'll meet each brass instrument, learn its name and job, and hear how it is used as a tool to build songs using musical building blocks like melody, harmony, and rhythm. This program is open to all but is especially geared for kids ages 6-10.
Love is Love is Love is Love:
