Old-School Steelies
This week's newsletter features something we don't show too much of: classic cars! Even moreso, a Plymouth Deluxe, which belongs to Robert Arcos of Lubbock, Texas. He put two stripes on each wheel, too!
Robert sent us an email on August 2nd of this year:
Decided to pinstrip the old school rims on my 49 Plymouth deluxe. Started with the inside hub, had to go back to school to figure the circumference of hub and rim (radius*π). Reversed bumpers and steadied Stripe-It-All level and moved tire - voila! it worked. Finally the outside rim, a little different from standard tires and rims; the tire sticks out from rim, so I used the tool without any bumpers and voila! worked again, the photos will tell it better, thanks for a frustrating 4 + hour job turned fun and 1/3 of the time.
Turns out he'd used some stripes from O'Reilly Auto Parts, which of course we aren't afilliated with, but seemed to work alright for him.
