Important Announcements
As we wind down from another challenging winter week – (know that I send up prayers daily for all of you who have to be on the road for work or school each day!) – there are some important things to draw to your attention:
  • Sunday (at both services,) we will install the newly appointed and approved Call Committee as well as the 2019 Council. If you are not able to be a part of worship, please hold them in prayer!
  • Place of Hope in St Cloud is providing shelter to almost 100 people each night during this challenging winter weather and they need our help to restock food and clothing supplies. Bring your donations and place in the red box at church and we’ll deliver!) Financial gifts to help defray larger utility bills are also appreciated. THANK YOU!
  • 6th and 7th Grade confirmation students must find a mentor (by Feb 27,) to walk with them each week through Lent, (March 6 through April 10.) Please be ready to say “Yes!” when asked and encourage this important faith-forming experience.
  • The Men’s Mexico Mission Group says that there is room for additional volunteer participants for the Feb 23 trip. Talk to Ken or James on Sunday for more details.
  • Our SWMN Synod is offering the annual “Equipping Congregations Day” in Willmar on Saturday, Feb 23rd. Great workshops, interesting speakers, and a time to gather in community with the greater church beyond our walls. Several of us are already planning to go. (For more detailed information, go to www.swmnelca.org.) Call or talk to me regarding registration and to join the carpool fun!

Peace…,
Pastor Marlene
Office Hours
Rejoice office is now closed on Fridays.
Financial Pledge
Please return your commitment card. Those who contribute through the Simply Giving electronic deduction, please also fill out a commitment card. Several options make it easy:
  • Mail your card to Rejoice using the pre-addressed envelope you received
  • Place your card in the offering plate during church service
  • Drop your card off at church
Social Concerns Meeting
You are invited to join the conversation at the next Social Concerns team meeting .
  • Tuesday, February 19
  • 6:00 p.m.
  • Rejoice Good News Library

If you have any questions or suggestions for this committee and are unable to attend this meeting, please contact Susan Chwalek at 320.267.0320.
Young @ Heart
Never be too old to outlive enthusiasm! Our happily retired group is at it again.
  • Thursday, February 21
  • 10:30 a.m. social time with cards, games and coffee
  • 12:00 Noon lunch - then top off the day with a front row seat to the music of Terry Nelson

Reservations are important, as it helps us to calculate how much food to make, and keep the cost down. Making your reservations is easy!

The meal is catered; however we can always use help with serving. A suggested donation of $5 is an unbelievable entertainment bargain! See you there!
Spirit Led Innovation
2019 Equipping Congregations Day is coming up fast.

We have something for everyone!  Throughout the day you will have time to attend your choice of three different workshops , in addition to our keynote speakers, Beth Lewis and Benjamin Winchester. Check out the flyer on the bulletin board for the different workshops or download a flyer now .

Contact Pastor Marlene as soon as you are able to ensure your reservation.
What Do You Like to Sing?
Don’t forget to tell us about your favorite hymn.  Hymns (and their stories,) will be part of our Lenten series “Songs and Prayer” which begins on Wednesday, March 6. So submit the name of your favorite hymn with a brief description of how/why this came to be. (If you would be willing to share the story in person that would be wonderful! If not, your brief description will be on the slide.)

Forms for sharing are on the table in the gathering area!
First Communion
3 rd  Graders   Instruction Dates:
  • Sundays, March 10th, 17th, & 24th
