No Open Table dinner tonight on Halloween
Bible Skimmed class will meet
Dinner and children's activities are canceled tonight due to Halloween. The Bible Skimmed with Bob and Jessica will meet as normal. Covenant Choir will also hold rehearsal. Here's a look at Open Table programs coming up:
  • Nov. 7: Final sessions of Bible Skimmed and Authentic Living in a Wired World 
     
  • Nov. 14: The Wingate University Singers (right) and Advanced Women's Ensemble will present J. S. Bach's Magnificat and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria with the N.C. Baroque Orchestra.

  • Nov. 21: Break for Thanksgiving Week
     
  • Nov. 28: Worship team takes over Open Table for a night! Jason Graffis and Covenant musicians will talk about the evolution of worship and what Bob Henderson calls "baptizing the secular."
Covenant Choir, orchestra will mark All Saints Day
Sunday at 11 a.m. in Sanctuary
The Covenant Choir will share Requiem for the Living by Dan Forrest accompanied by a small orchestra. Forrest's requiem is written to bring comfort and peace to believers who grieve the loss of loved ones.  Note: Don't forget to adjust your clocks for the end of Daylight Savings Time!
 
Blood drive is this week
Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon in Rec Wing

Parents of college-age students are invited for food, football and fellowship at the home of Robin Goodson. The Panthers take on Tampa Bay at 1 p.m. RSVP for directions to the Goodson home

Construction update: Site preparation continues on new building
Foundation work should begin in a few weeks
Site work continues with clearing and site preparation. Shelco is working with Piedmont Natural Gas to relocate a gas line discovered to be located in the area of the new building. Shelco also is working with Duke Energy to secure power to the site. 

Site work will continue for the next couple of weeks when, weather permitting, foundation work will begin.  New to Covenant?  Learn about what we're doing.

Interim associate pastor for congregational life
Full-time, ordained position
This position is responsible to the church to assist in biblical teachings, to assist in church life, to lead in pastoral care and to provide pastoral services to the church family. The position leads and coordinates the church's ministry to the pastoral needs of the congregation and fellowship events to enrich the congregation's life together. Learn more here.
