Fort Bend ISD's Special Education Department is collaborating with area businesses and community groups to present a Summer Resource Fair on Sat., March 2 for Fort Bend County families of children with disabilities. The free event takes place at Clements High School, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Virtual Drive - Driver Education Course

FBISD Board of Trustees to host Literacy Tour, Feb. 11



The community is invited to join the FBISD Board of Trustees at its Literacy Tour on Mon., Feb. 11  at Briargate Elementary (15817 Blue Ridge Rd., Missouri City, 77489). Come and engage with the School Board and hear them read aloud to students. Light refreshments will be served, and students attending will be able to select free books to take home to enjoy. FBISD Board of Trustees' legislative priorities urge lawmakers to take action


Governor Greg Abbott's State of the State address this week included several emergency agenda items, including school finance reform, school safety, and an expansion of mental health support. The FBISD Board of Trustees shares the governor's concerns and, in December, passed a pair of legislative priorities that urge lawmakers to take action. 
AUSTIN WATCH: Be sure to read the  Texas School Alliance  statement on proposed bills to cap property taxes. School finance reform = increase in state funding + property tax relief!
Dr. Charles Dupre shares Black History Month message

Partnerships Appreciation Breakfast honors supporters
 
Fort Bend ISD's Collaborative Communities team hosted its 2019 Partnerships Appreciation Breakfast to thank individuals who generously give of their time and resources to support our students and staff year after year. The partners represent the many business, community and interfaith groups that work jointly with FBISD schools, providing wraparound services to help the District develop our young people.
FBISD 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholars Candidates

Thirteen Fort Bend ISD students have been named 2019 candidates for the U.S Presidential Scholars Program, which recognizes the nation's most distinguished high school students. They are among nearly 161 students named this year.
District science bowl team headed to national contest 



Dulles High School's Science Bowl team bested more than two dozen teams to win the regional competition, held at Texas A&M University last month. The team now advances to national competition, to be held in Washington D.C. April 25-29, where they will be among 62 other high school teams from across the nation.
FBISD athletes honored during National Signing Day 2019


Fort Bend ISD congratulates all of the high school athletes who took part in National Signing Day 2019. Fifty-four (54) players representing all 11 FBISD high schools signed National Letters of Intent to play sports at their chosen colleges and universities. The students were honored today during a ceremony at FBISD's Wheeler Field House.
FBISD 2019 Spelling Bee Champions named

Aarnav Gopinath of Quail Valley Middle School's GT Academy (right), and Sahana Gade of Walker Station Elementary (left) are FBISD's 2019 Spelling Bee Champions! They now advance to the  regional Houston Public Media Spelling Bee, which will be held on March 23, 2019.
