Cypress Creek High School

It is hard to believe, but here on this last official day of summer (tomorrow is the Autumnal Equinox) we already conclude our sixth week of the 2018-2019 school year. Moreover, it is time to distribute student Progress Reports for the first quarter. If you have a student attending CCHS, please make sure to review their results as soon as possible.

This has been a very busy month so far across the campus and the pace will not slow as we turn into the last full week of September. Please take particular note of next Wednesday's Financial Aid Night bearing in mind that this special evening is open to all students and their families regardless of grade level. The event is well timed prior to our 10th Annual College Night in October.

Friday's Motivational Moment!

THE RACE AT SUNRISE

Every morning in Africa,

a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run

faster than the fastest lion,

or it will be killed.

Every morning a lion wakes up.

It knows that it must outrun the slowest gazelle,

or it will starve to death.

It doesn't matter whether you are a lion

or a gazelle; when the sun comes up,

you had better be running.

~ African Parable

The lesson for our Bears? Make your time this year count. Focus on your goals. And always remember, time is usually wasted in the same way every day.

Have a nice weekend and good luck to our Bears vs. the West Orange Warriors tonight!
