Superintendent Search Processes to be Discussed at Tuesday's School Board Meeting

Along with other important information and action items, the Board of Education will be discussing next steps in the search for a new superintendent at its meeting on Tuesday, February 12, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the District Board Room.  James Guerra and Mike Escalante of JG Consulting/Escalante & Associates will lead the Board in a discussion about the procedures and timing of the superintendent search, including the development of a superintendent profile and job description through interviews with stakeholders and community meetings.  

The San Marino community will be notified when dates have been determined for public input on desired superintendent skills and qualities.  Until then, please keep up to date by visiting the District's Superintendent Search webpage.

The Board will also be hearing and discussing ways to improve communication and engagement with the San Marino community.  Dr. Stephen Choi will present strategies to enhance communications through social media, the District's website, and Board meeting recordings.  President Lisa Link will propose revisions to the language of the Board agenda as well as to Board practices regarding public comment.
