Confirmation Dove, animated Confirmation Meeting February 10

This Sunday there will be a meeting in  the office by the Fellowship Room for parents and students interested  in Confirmation.  Confirmation  Class is for youth 7th grade and older.

This year's course of study will consist of 12 class meetings between February and mid-June ( Confirmation  Sunday), a weekend retreat at Johnsonburg Camp, and a final meeting with Session members. The full schedule will be determined when leaders, parents and interested youth get together on February 10 after worship.

Our classes are a time to learn different aspects of our Christian faith while giving you a chance to ask questions (no question is off-limits), and have a good time in the process.

Please call the church office 732-899-0587 if you plan on attending the Feb 10th meeting.
Important - New Door System in the Annex

This past week we had a new security door system installed in the C.E. Annex.  All existing fobs issued prior to this week will no longer work and can be disposed of by the holder.

The church has established a new building access policy.    Going forward, new keys, fobs and access codes will require an agreement of terms as well as signature by everyone who is granted access.   Everyone requesting access is asked to fill out a Request for Access form, which can be found online or in the office.  All codes assigned are unique and are not to be given to any one else.  You must make arrangements to come into the office to sign for your code.

Loaning fobs/codes, transferring to others, as well as bracing doors open is strictly prohibited. The new policies and procedures have been developed to ensure the safety and security of the entire Point Pleasant Presbyterian community.
Choir Rehearsal Break

The Chancel Choir will be on break this Thursday.  Rehearsals will start back up on Thursday February 21.  The Choir will be singing on Sunday, February 24th.
This Week at Point Beach Prep

What better way to celebrate the letter P than by having a pajama day! We also served pancakes. We played with the parachute and pretended to pop popcorn on it with the balls.

Our Nursery class did pom pom painting, made puppets, pajamas, and pigs for Lunar New Year. They did a penguin dance. They read Polar Bear Polar Bear, Puff the Magic Dragon,If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and Pete the Cat. Their sign language word was "pig".

Our Pre-k pals pretended to be pirates and made pirate hats, eye patches and spyglasses for a treasure hunt! They played a pirate ring toss game and pretended to walk the plank! They also made penguins and pig noses. They sang pirate songs, Peanut Butter and Jelly,Pig on Her Head, and did a penguin dance. It was a perfect week!

Images of the Week

Thank you to everyone who supported Souper Bowl of Caring last week.  The items were appreciated by St. Gregory's Pantry.

With limited resources in Ocean County, St. Gregory's Pantry is busy five days a week.  As shown in the picture below, the Pantry is currently well stocked on soups.  Detergent, canned meats, peanut butter, and pasta sauce are always items in demand since they tend to raise a grocery bill quickly.  Donating Valentine's Day candy would also be a nice way to spread "love" to those feeling forgotten.
