Building Bridges: We're Just Getting Started
Reflection:
For the last six weeks we have been exploring in our LYFE groups and in our worship, what it could mean to build bridges and dismantle racism. It hasn't been an easy conversation but it has been a good one. I have heard from many of you that this series has really challenged you and a few of you have said, "I'm really growing and learning and that feels good!" This Sunday, we will talk about continuing the work of dismantling racism in our world. This is a sacred calling. We're only getting started. How can you continue the work of building bridges in your own life? In your neighborhood? In your workplace or school?
For the Children and the Adults in Their Lives:
In Sunday's scripture, from a letter called Hebrews, the writer is looking all the way back to Abraham choosing to trust in God and how much good has come from that over all these years. Great things happen when we trust God. If you and your family look back, when have you trusted God? What stories of people from your family long before you were born do you know? How did their choices shape your life today?
