Looking for a Collaborator?
Einstein-Montefiore Research Profiles is just a click away, from any computer. Continuously updated with your publications and NIH grants, Profiles has expanded to 1,840 qualified faculty members, and is a great way to find colleagues from across the hall to across the Bronx. Profiles also displays each faculty member’s research network, whether local, national, or international, further helping you hone in on the expertise you may need. To view research profiles, visit https://einstein.pure.elsevier.com or click on the profiles button on the right hand side of qualified faculty pages.

If your own profile is not up to date, please be patient as the data are periodically refreshed.

Below is a representation of global Einstein-Montefiore collaborations over the last five years.
Bioengineering Collaborative at Einstein-Montefiore
On November 8th, Einstein-Montefiore hosted a workshop with the Stony Brook University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) entitled, "Engineering Driven Collaborative Initiative in Basic, Clinical, and Translational Research." Our goal was to bring together bioengineering and data science faculty from the Long Island university and Einstein-Montefiore researchers to spark new ideas and research projects. Two Einstein-Montefiore faculty gave the opening presentations Steve Almo PhD (Protein-based Technologies) and Simone Sidoli PhD (Five-Dimensional Mass Spectrometry to Study Proteome Modifications). Six CEAS-based scientists from Stony Brook presented their interests and the group was able to discuss potential research collaboration.
Mentored Research Career Development Awards for Junior Faculty
The application process is now open for the KL2 Mentored Clinical Research Scholar Awards , sponsored by the Clinical and Translational Science Award and the Einstein-Montefiore Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. These awards provide support for junior faculty (Instructor or Assistant Professor) with doctoral degrees who will devote the majority of their effort to clinical or translational research and training for 2 to 3 years. To learn more and apply by January 21st 2020, please click here .
Biodesign Training Program Now Accepting Applications
The Department of Medicine's Innovation Leadership Team announced the newly created Innovation Biodesign Training Program, a one year program that will train the next generation of physician scientists and encourage the development and validation of digital health technologies. This is the sixth Innovation Biodesign Training Program in the United States and the first to be overseen by a Department of Medicine. To apply, candidates should submit a CV, personal statement (maximum of 250 words) regarding one’s professional interests and expected contributions to this program, and the names/telephone numbers/email addresses of two professional references. Please email sjariwal@montefiore.org  these materials by December 15, 2019. For more information, please click here .
ICTR Mentoring Program Director Wins Mentoring Award
Michal Melamed MD , Associate Professor, Departments of Medicine (Nephrology) and Epidemiology & Population Health, and Co-Director of the Mentoring for Translational and Team Science (MeTTS) program has recently received the Distinguished Mentor Award from the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Melamed has been leading MeTTS with Dr. Paul Marantz since 2018 and currently mentors multiple junior faculty at Einstein-Montefiore. MeTTS is offered to K-awardees at the institution to complement their individual and departmental career development support by offering monthly seminars to guide their transition into independent research careers. Translational Science 2020
Join clinical and translational researchers from CTSAs across the country for the latest research and innovations at Translational Science 2020 on April 14-17 in Washington DC. If you would like to showcase your research at the meeting,  poster abstracts are due Friday, December 13th. To learn more about Translational Science 2020 and submit your abstract,  click here.
ORCid Workshop Available
As the NIH has recently announced that individuals supported by research training fellowship, research education, and career development awards in FY2020 will be required to have ORCiD IDs (Open Research and Contributor Identifiers), the Einstein library will be hosting a workshop on Thursday, December 12th in Forchheimer 119N to teach investigators how to create and manage their ORCid ID.
