100 Avenue is now re-open to vehicle traffic and parking!

Work remaining on the project includes electrical work, the instillation of a few remaining sidewalk paving stones, signs, and street furniture. All businesses have front access, and the sidewalks are open to pedestrians.

Construction began in May of 2018, and crews have been working diligently to open the roadway to vehicles. The Downtown Rehab Project aims at revitalizing Grande Prairie's core through infrastructure and streetscape upgrades. Over 1000 metres of the aging underground pipe system was replaced to avoid future failures and costly repairs.

Signature Support Services Society is seeking volunteers for our Board and Committees.   We invite anyone interested in joining an energetic team of volunteers that are committed to serving our community to contact Darrin Stubbs for more information. Parents or guardians of individuals with a developmental disability would bring a welcomed perspective.

Join us as we celebrate Universal Children's Day with children's activities and games, face-painting, door prizes and more.

Location:  Eastlink Centre Servus A Fieldhouse, 10 Knowledge Way
Cost:  Admission to the event is free. Regular admission rates apply to other activities and venues within the Eastlink Centre
What to Expect:  Universal Children's Day is an annual event on November 20 to celebrate children's rights. The commemorative day was declared by the United Nation in 1954 and marks the anniversary of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Rights of the Child. It is an opportunity for families, businesses and government to advocate, promote and celebrate children's rights in an effort to build thriving communities and bright futures for our children.
Grande Prairie recognizes this important day in history by welcoming families to come into the Eastlink Centre Fieldhouse for an afternoon of children's games and activities.
