Dear LIC BID Members and Businesses,
Spring is around the corner! Keep an eye out for tulips in the tree pits as they begin to sprout. We are looking forward to seeing the results of our tulip bulb planting volunteer day back in November.

Along with some general updates, this is a friendly reminder to please take our  BID Constituent Survey . Upon completing the survey, you will automatically be entered into a raffle for a $15 gift card to The Mill Coffee Company LIC.  Thank you for your time and we look forward to reading your responses!

A Huge Thank You to Our Sanitation Ambassadors & Our Supportive Business Community

We would like to recognize our StreetPlus sanitation team for their hard work and dedication. They continue to keep our district clean and welcoming throughout this time of year, even in bitter weather conditions. We would also like to bring attention to the local businesses that have supported them by providing them with space to take a break from the cold when needed.

We are extremely grateful for this hard working crew and our wonderful business community!
Ambassador Profile: Meet Fallou

Fallou is an employee of StreetPlus, our Contractor that provides our sanitation services. Fallou has been working to keep the streets of LIC clean and beautiful for the past 10 years. When asked what his favorite thing about LIC is, he stated that it is a beautiful neighborhood, people are kind and he feels safe

Given that he has been working in LIC for a decade, he has witnessed the growth and development of the neighborhood first hand. There have been a lot of changes since he first started, most visibly being that there are many more buildings and people in the community. Be sure to say hi to Fallou when you see him out in the district!
Recap: BID Business Owner Safety Roundtable
Thank you to the Neighborhood Coordination Officers of the 108th and 114th Precincts for joining our BID Business Owner Safety Roundtable last week, and to the businesses who took time out of their day to attend. We discussed several topics involving safety in LIC and how we can build a stronger relationship between NYPD, the LIC BID, and business owners

We are extremely fortunate to be served by the 108th and 114th Precincts. Their continued collaboration and dedication to making LIC a great place to live and work is reflected in how safe the LIC area is within the city. If your business has questions or concerns relating to safety, please reach out to Paul Lotter, Director of BID Field Operations, at [email protected]. Read on for information regarding the 108th Precinct's upcoming Build the Block Meeting, and stay up to date by following both Precincts on twitter @NYPD108Pct and @NYPD114Pct.
