In lieu of our Congregational Retreat, we are having a Camp Style Shabbat Service! This musically oriented service will include a Shabbat dinner, a shira session, and Israeli dancing. Cost is $10 per person.

Temple Emanu-El presents a Shabbat experience geared towards families with children ages 1-30 months. Little ones will enjoy a service full of Shabbat songs, Torah talk, and parachute play! Kiddush, motzi, and a bagel oneg. Everyone is welcome!

Families with young children will enjoy upbeat songs, a short story, and a talk with the Rabbi on the bimah. All are welcome to these brief services on the third Friday of each month. Stay after services and enjoy a delicious dinner provided by Sisterhood, of course at no charge!

Join a brief presentation to learn about the Be SMART campaign in the BFR. The Be SMART campaign promotes responsible gun storage and asks all adults to take simple steps to reduce the harm that can occur when usupervised children get ahold of an unsecured firearm.

We are officially live streaming!
A few weeks ago, we set up our sanctuary to have live streaming. Now you can join us for a Shabbat service from the comfort of your own home if you are unable to join us in person!
While you can't get food at oneg through the live stream (it's too bad, they really need to invent that), you can keep up with Temple happenings and be part of our beautiful Shabbat services. It is now easily accessible through our website at

You may now place orders for challahs and pick them up here at Temple. For only $5.50 per 1 lb challah, you have your pick between plain, poppy, sesame, raisin, and wheat.
You must place your order on or before Wednesdays by 5 PM in order to receive the challah that same week. Orders received after 5 PM on Wednesday will not be processed until the following week. For more information and to order, go to our website at

Shabbat Around the Table ~ Tot Shabbat

This month's Tot Shabbat service will be co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, the APJCC, and the PJ Library. Shabbat Around the Table is a series of Kabbalat Shabbat dinners at various locations throughout the community which is open to everyone, but is specifically designed to help young families get into the Shabbat mindset, with a festive meal at the center of the experience. Two different groups are available: Playgroup 1 for Newborns to Newly Crawling (every other Tuesday 9:30-10:30 am) and Playgroup 2 for Crawlers to New Walkers (alternate Tuesdays 11:15-12:30). Meet other Jewish families with similarly aged kids and spend an hour with songs, stories, adult support, and a bit of Jewish learning. Register at
