Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agencies
The four regional Child Care Resource and Referral (CR&R) agencies provide professional development, program supports, and resources for child care providers and others in the early education field.
Child Care Aware
® of Kansas Online Learning courses are designed for busy early childhood professionals. These courses meet annual KDHE training requirements for Licensure as well as training requirements for the Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Find courses that provide information and ideas for activities with children, such as:
Professional Practices
This course provides an overview of the professional practices expected of child care providers. It includes the definition of professionalism as well as measures to attain a professional reputation, as perceived through the child care provider's words and actions.
Ethical Behavior
This course discusses the importance of ethics and ethical behavior in an organization and describes norms of ethical behavior. It defines attributes of an effective code of ethics, identifies stakeholders and personal values that influence decision making, and outlines the steps of ethical decision making. Learn about ways to influence and sustain ethical behavior, define the benefits of ethical behavior in the workplace, and identify the risks and consequences of unethical behavior.
Early Childhood Wellness Newsletter
The Early Childhood Wellness Newsletter is a monthly newsletter that is distributed electronically to child care providers. It includes helpful information focused on physical activity and nutrution. Also included is a "clip n' share" recipe - a great resource to share with parents!
