Thank You For Coming To Our New Store

There was a great turn out on May 1st and 2nd for our Grand Opening in Battle Creek. It was a beautiful day and people started to line up at the door at 8:30 am, with many more waiting in their cars. When the doors opened at 9 am, the savings began. Many were walking in to take a look around, and could not leave without finding a few deals.

We had hundreds of entry for the Trace Adkins tickets. Monday Morning we made the call to Jennifer Swain to announce that she had won the pair of tickets to the concert at Hillsdale County Fair. She was excited and almost in disbelief that she was the winner. Congratulations Jennifer and have a great time at the fairgrounds

Beneficiary of the Month
Gabrielle Jordan

I was so honored and surprised when they announced that I was the beneficiary of the month of April. To think that only a few months ago, I was lost in my addiction of drugs and alcohol. Feeling very depressed and hopeless, I was looking for happiness in my addiction. Instead, I found my life spinning out of control.

I came to The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) hoping for change, and change is what I found. Since I have been here I feel I have made some great progress. I starting working in the family store, straightening and putting out new items. Shortly thereafter, I started working in the call center, scheduling donations for pickup. I was amazed at how much care, support, and concern people have for The Salvation Army ARC and what they do. I thoroughly enjoy working and talking with the donors that call in their donations.

Without The Salvation Army and their rehab program I would not be where I am now. Filled with hope for the future and a restored relationship in the Lord, I now know I can move forward in a life without addiction. Through God's grace and the tools I have learned in the program, I am now able to have a positive healthy relationship with my four children and my grandchild again.
