IAWF Congratulates Soheila Adelippour
|
We would like to welcome Ms.
Soheila Adelipour to The Iranian American Women Foundation's Board of Trustees. The IAWF is proud of her hard work and continuous contributions.
Soheila Adelipour is the author of the upcoming book 'Wrestling With God' to ('Resting With God'). She received her bachelor's degree in Business and her master's degree in Art Gallery Management while her first two kids were in diapers! She was involved with the World of Arts and Antiques in New York City, followed by running high-end gift stores. Life was normal with her 4 kids and everyday problems until the series of unfortunate events started. She lost her second son in Boston in a tragic fire accident, then, a few years later, both her sister and brother passed away after enduring long, horrific illnesses. At the moment Soheila's main purpose is to give courage and strength to people with her words and experiences. Her motto, "Love life... Live for the 'Whys' in your life and not the 'Why nots'!" She resides in Los Angeles.

Marjan was born in Iran, and moved to the US just prior to the revolution when she was 12 years old. She has over 25 years of experience in management consulting, large program management, process improvement and innovation, technology implementation, and organizational change management at Fortune 100 companies, As a Senior Vice President at First Republic Bank, located in San Francisco, she currently manages FRB's Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Solutions and Analytics function. Marjan earned her Psychology and Computer Science bachelorette degrees from University of California, Irvine.

Haleh Khatami is an advocate of children, who strongly believes that education is the key to rising above socio-economic crisis. For almost two decades, she has been actively and voluntarily pursing her passion toward providing the gift of education for underprivileged children across the world. As the president and co-founder of Children's Hope International Literacy and Development (C.H.I.L.D.), she successfully leads the cause through her strategic planning, especially in areas of marketing, public relations & fundraising. Haleh is an entrepreneur with a B.S. in MIS from CSULB, and has many years of experience in fields of finance and real estate.

Shiva Sarram
was born and raised in Tehran, Iran, and after the start of the war, her family moved to Europe briefly and eventually, to the United States where she has resided since the early 1980's. Shiva attended the University of Pennsylvania where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics. She then worked on Wall Street for Chase Manhattan Bank, Deloitte & Touche, Tiger Management and McKinsey & Co. Ms. Sarram has been involved with philanthropic efforts for over two decades - her passion for war-affected children as well as her education in economic development, led her to the extraordinary vision and founding of the Blossom Hill Foundation. She resides in New Canaan, CT with her husband and two children where she is actively involved in a number of social justice including leading 203 action, a Tripartisan grassroots activist group.
