"We Love Christ Church" Stewardship Celebration Dinner will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018, from 6:00 - 8:30 pm at Turner Center for the Arts(527 N Patterson St). College Ministry: Noon Sunday Service geared toward college students that the interns will help lead, will be held on September 23, 2018. These services will be an informal Rite II Eucharist with the same sermon as the 8:00 and 10:00 services and will run on the weekends when VSU is in session, the following Sundays this fall: September 23 and 30; October 14, 21 and 28; November 4, 11, and 18; and December 2. Even if you are not a college student, you are more than welcome to join us. Please keep this ministry in your prayers as we seek to receive the grace of God in Jesus Christ and share that grace with college students.

Sunday School Series for Parents

Sunday, September 23 and 30th

Sunday we continue a four-week class for parents, "Gracious Parenting in an Ungracious World" that will be taught by Karen May. If you are a parent of a child anywhere in age from the cradle to a young teenager, we encourage you to join us on this 4-week journey as we discuss principles that will help our kids navigate through our world and rise above the norm. The class will begin at 11:15 and run through September 30th.

Planning for the 2019 mission trip to the Dominican Republic has begun. There will be a meeting at 4:30 p.m in the parish hall on Sunday, September 23, for anyone interested in this trip or in our DR work in general. The main topic to be discussed are options for the dates of the trip. Bring your calendar.

Friday Morning Bible Study
|
Friday Morning Bible Study will not meet on Friday, September 28, 2018, but will meet again on October 5th from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. in the Office Chapel. We are studying the Gospel according to John. All are welcome to attend.

Wednesdays beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Middle School EYC with Millie Johnson is held on Wednesdays. All 6-8th graders are welcome. It's held every Wednesday in Gabard from 6:45-8:00. Please join us for food, fellowship and lots of games!
High School EYC with Molly Stevenson will be held on Wednesdays in the Gabard building from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. All High School students 9-12th grade are welcome. We have dinner each week as a group, with lots of fun and fellowship. Please mark your calendars and join us. High School Students are also welcome to attend the noon Sunday Service.

Men in Blue - Winnersville Classic

The Men in Blue will be cooking sausage dogs and chicken wings this Friday, September 21st beginning at 5:30 prior to the Winnersville Classic Football Game. Stop by the Men in Blue cook shelter and wear your school colors.

Saturday, October 6, 2018 beginning at 11:00

The Christ Church Valdosta Lunch Bunch feeds 120 or more hungry children every first and third Saturday of the month. Workers from the church as well as other members of the community who volunteer gather at 11 a.m. at Christ Church to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. They pack them in plastic bags, then brown paper bags with logo stickers together with chips, fruit, juice and other healthy goodies purchased from the Second Harvest Food Bank. Volunteers are welcome.
Would you like to be able to contribute to our Lunch Bunch outreach? We need fruit cups, drink pouches or boxes, and small bags of chips. Thanks for your help!
