He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.

Welcome Our New Store Manager

Hello from Alpine,

My name is Margee and I am the store manager at the Alpine store. I started at the Alpine store when it first opened in 2012 as a pricer and quickly worked my way up the ranks. I first  took the positions of store manager at the Plainfield store and then transferred back to the Alpine store on March 1 of this year.

I like working at The Salvation Army Family Store of Alpine and would like to invite you in to say hello, and of course save on some awesome treasures.

Hello from Plainfield,

My name is Kelly Six and I am the new store manager here at The Salvation Army Family Store of Plainfield. My assistant manager Naomi, and keyholder Nicci have helped with this new adventure.

I started working for The Salvation Army in 2012 as a cashier and worked my way up the ranks to this wonderful position of manager when Margee transferred to Alpine. I want to create a friendly and fun atmosphere for my customers and staff.

Beneficiary of the Month
Jeff Edington

My life was completely revolved around my heroin addictions. My addictions were consuming my life and destroying relations and everything I ever cared about. I found myself bouncing from place to place, and tried to stop many time without success. A series of events lead me to a decision to give God chance and I went to The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC).

I am now 5 months into the 6 month program and I can say that I can see the changes in my life. I have spent most of my time on the docks receiving the donation that many very generous people have donated. I have a sense of pride knowing that I have been involved in the process of helping others through The Salvation Army. My physical well being has greatly improved with the great food that the kitchen staff has prepared us, and the access to a weight room. I have also regained self-confidence through the journals that we have to complete for each level. The positive relationships that are created with the staff and others that I have met here have helped bring me through some challenging times.

The most important thing I have learned is that a relationship with God. I would have never considered give Jesus Christ a chance if it was not for the ARC. Now I look at the future with hope. I have a very supportive family and with their help, the tools I've learned, and God's help, I know that I have an exciting future.
