CRCOG Cybersecurity Program
The CRCOG staff is pleased to announce the selection of MGT of America Consulting, LLC (MGT) to create Cybersecurity Model Policies for the region. CRCOG selected MGT after a thorough procurement process. MGT is headquartered in Tampa, Florida and has over 40 years of consulting experience, specializing in public sector clients. This project aims to strengthen the region’s cybersecurity preparedness by providing towns with a resource to improve their own internal procedures and plans.
The CRCOG initiated the Cybersecurity Program in response to the State’s
Cybersecurity Action Plan
. Through the CRCOG Cybersecurity Model Policies, municipalities will have a starting point to create and strengthening their internal cybersecurity policies and action plans. At the conclusion of the project, CRCOG towns will be able to piggyback on the contract at a pre-negotiated hourly rate for policy customization.
In addition to the model policies, CRCOG’s Cybersecurity Program will include additional cybersecurity services, such as assessment, remediation, testing and monitoring through CRCOG’s IT partner, NOVUS INSIGHT (formerly CCAT).

First Hour Checklist for Emergencies
CRCOG has prepared a First hour checklist for emergencies that is geared toward CEOs, Emergency Managers and Department Heads. The checklist begins with immediate actions for any incident as well as situational awareness. It then goes through notifications, inter-operable communications and next steps. Municipalities are encouraged to use this during drills and exercises as well as real life events.

Current offerings include online permitting software, voice over internet protocol (VoIP), fiber infrastructure services, general IT assistance, and CRCOG cloud hosting. Future offerings include an electronic document management system (EDMS), time and attendance software, and a cybersecurity management program.
