This Sunday in Worship
Imagine you were called upon to do something truly heroic, something that was risky, yet might change the course of history and benefit many people. Would you respond with
boldness and courage?
As we continue our TREK series this week we will share a story of one woman who faced such a high stakes situation. Come
Sunday to find out how she responded, and learn how this action packed scripture story relates to each one of us.
Invite someone to come with you
this Sunday at
10:00 am.
Linger afterward for coffee and great conversation.
If you can't make it to worship this week, be sure to check out our
livesteam or
podcast.

The Native Plant Garden Has Been Planted!
Thank you to all of the Crossroads volunteers who helped make this possible. A huge thank you goes out to Dominion Energy of Leesburg. Their fabulous team of employees took time out of their busy week to serve with us on Tuesday. This project could not have been completed in one day without their efforts! Taking care of the Earth is our call and responsibility.
This Native Plant Garden was also made possible by the Plants for Birds Burke Grant for Native Plants and the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia's Audubon at Home. In the coming weeks, there will be plant identification markers and educational material available for us to learn about why native plant gardens are so important to our environment. This garden will be an ongoing educational tool for Crossroads and our surrounding community for years to come!

Donations for Hurricane Relief
In the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Florence, you may feel called to respond in some way. Crossroads UMC is asking the community to continue to pray for all those affected directly or indirectly by hurricane/tropical storm Florence. Also, pray for the first responders, disaster coordinators and many volunteers.
You may also feel called to respond in other ways. UMCOR's Disaster Response Coordinators and Early Response teams are in the process of assessing the damage in the areas hardest hit. Until this is complete, no other disaster relief teams have been requested. UMCOR suggests the most effective way to help, at this time, is through monetary donations.
Please consider
donating to UMCOR, United Methodist Committee on Relief. 100% of each gift reaches the Advance mission or ministry of your choice.
