One question I get over and over in talking with collectors was when is Thread Heads coming back? Back in November of 2014 Brad England and I debuted a 30-minute video call show.  The concept was pretty simple - get two patch collectors talking with short segments to keep the show structured.  Today Episode #12 marks the return.

As originally conceived the show was aimed at new collectors and people that are very active on the Facebook group.  Today's show sticks to that script with some tips for younger collectors, discussion of the Scout Patch Collectors Facebook group and a more advanced strategy tip.

Although we were a little rusty from time off and Google changing the technology platform the show comes off without a hitch.  We look forward to suggestions for segments and also welcome anyone with a topic and a good internet web cam to join us a a guest host.

Finally we have talked about how much fun it would be to take Thread Heads on the road.  I've done this a little bit in one of the earlier episodes when I visited the Columbus TOR.  Brad is going to Dallas and I am going to Easley, SC and Indy coming up so maybe we can record some video and make that happen.

In the episode you will hear about a more advanced strategy that I'm using this week to generate presales at the upcoming South Carolina TOR.  If all goes well Thursday morning I'll send everyone an email with a massive Carolina OA collection that I am selling.  Yesterday it took me the entire day to process one lodge so I'm going to have to push hard to cross the finish line and stick to that time table.
This afternoon I'm interviewing a collector on the phone for the next episode of the podcast.  If I was really on track you would see alternating podcast / Thread Heads so that each week there was new content coming out.  I doubt I can keep up that pace based on my history but at least that would be an awesome goal.

In Charlotte, North Carolina I have an antique mall booth that is filled with nothing but Scouting stuff.  I call this location my clearance center because I've marked down everything to move.  A lot of what you will find there are items that are too bulky to easily ship from an Internet store.  The booth is located in The Sleepy Poet which is a well established antique mall on South Blvd in Charlotte.  The mall is open 7-days/week year round.  So the next time you are in the area come check it out.
