Hydrant Flushing
Des Moines Water Works crews will began the process of inspecting and flushing all fire hydrants they maintain in Windsor Heights in the upcoming weeks.
This is done each year to maintain high-quality drinking water and removing buildup in hydrants and water mains.

During hydrant flushing, residents may notice temporary water discoloration and low pressure, neither of which are harmful, and can be flushed out by running cold water through the faucet. Any concerns please contact Des Moines Water Works at 515-283-8700.
