Construction continues to move forward on the new box culvert located west of Rockvalley Ln. The contractor is also working on installing new storm sewer between Rockvalley and Limerock.  We anticipate that paving will begin next week (week of September 24) between Morgan Creek and 80th St NW.

Looking ahead, work is anticipated to start the second week of October for the intersection of Limerock Dr and E Avenue. The intersection will be completed in phases to allow residents access to their property.

Once work is completed between Limerock and Stoney Point, commuters will be directed to follow the posted detour (via Limerock South of E Ave).

We anticipate the new portion of E Ave from Rockvalley to HWY 100 to open in late November. Additionally, City officials are working with the Iowa Department of Transportation to host a ribbon cutting and community bike ride to celebrate the new segment of HWY 100 opening later this year. An exact date will be determined as we get closer to final stages of construction.
