Daniels Fund Awards $150,000 to the STARS Ranch - A Place for Hope and Healing

Daniels Fund out of Denver recently announced that they were awarding STARS $150,000 towards the STARS Ranch Capital Campaign. Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

One of Daniels Fund's guiding principals is that boundless opportunities exist for each and every individual. This grant will help to ensure that through the STARS Ranch we can provide increased opportunities for youth and adults with a disability to experience adaptive recreation.

Sunshine Kids Reach for the STARS

Former STARS Sunshine Kids participants are reaching for the STARS and bringing home medals for the US. Brenna Huckaby brought home gold and Noah Elliott brought home bronze both in the Snowboard-cross. Huckaby and Elliott are cancer survivors and former participants with STARS. They came to STARS to learn to snowboard during their treatments for cancer. They not only survived, but thrived after learning to snowboard. We are so proud of Brenna and Noah for their accomplishments and for them reaching for the STARS!
