Renew Your PTA Membership or Become a New Member!
Our PTA has entered the WSPTA's Power Surge Membership Challenge and if we raise 15 new members in November, we earn a chance to win a cash prize for our PTA!

Be a part of the largest grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated solely to children in Washington State and the country. A quality public education is not free. While we receive state funding for some of the basics, we rely on our PTA and Bellevue Schools Foundation to cover the "extras" that make our school exceptional. As a member of the PTA, you have a voice in how we use our funds.

PTA members have access to the online school directory via the PTA website, may vote at PTA meetings, and receive various additional local and national benefits - review the PTA Member Benefits page on our website. Renew or join today!

PTA's First Movie Night of the Year is TONIGHT, Nov. 2
Join us for our first Movie Night of the School Year - Disney's "Coco."
Tonight in the Puesta del Sol Gym. Doors open @ 6pm.

During this FREE Family Community Event, we'll be showing Disney's "Coco" in Spanish (with English subtitles). This is a great way for your child to earn Spanish Outside of School (SOS) hours, while having a great time with friends and family. There will be popcorn and water, as well as Bake Sale items, to keep us munching while we watch this fun movie filled with music, family, and adventure. Outside food is also welcome, but in respect to Puesta del Sol's general policy, we ask that all outside food is both Peanut and Tree Nut Free to help keep this safe for all participants.

Doors will open at 6pm so that people can come early and grab a spot prior to the  movie starting at 6:30pm. We suggest bringing blankets, pillows and/or low beach chairs ( please no higher camp chairs so that everyone will have a chance to see). We can't wait for you to join us!

Please keep in mind, as with all of our PTA Family events, THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF EVENT, and all children should be accompanied by an adult responsible for them during the entire time.   For questions, please email [email protected].
Calling All Artists! Reflections Competition Begins
Reflections is a national art competition that is sponsored by the PTA and is one of the categories for Academic Challenge. This year's theme is "Heroes Around Me."

Your child may submit an original work of art in any of 6 categories; Visual Art, Photography, Film, Choreography, Music or Literature.  Please go to our Reflections Information Page where you will find the official rules, application, check list for success and registration. The due date for submissions is November 16.

Backing boards and sleeves are now available for purchase for your student's visual arts submission and will ensure your student's submission aligns with the guidelines. You will be given the opportunity to purchase one online after you register your student.

Looking for a Registrar!
Are you detailed? Can you juggle multiple tasks at one time? Do you like working behind the scenes? Have you ever planned a child's birthday party, a wedding, or a reunion? Then you have the skills we need! We are looking for an organized person who can follow detailed procedures to set up registration and create reports for our PTA after school programs.

The PTA is looking for a new Registrar and full training and ongoing support are available. The Registrar works closely with the Program Chairs of several programs, the PTA Board, and with the PTA Web Manager to make sure our student community can sign up for our awesome after school programs. This role offers full training and a current Registrar already in place to train and guide you. Contact [email protected] to inquire.
Garden Club Needs You!
planting_time.jpg
The School Garden committee is down to one parent this year, and that's not enough to run Garden Club!
Join the outdoor fun on Thursday afternoons during both second recess sessions (1:55-2:10pm and 2:10-2:25pm). We generally suspend Garden Club from mid-November through mid-March, then start back up in the spring. For more information, email Liz at [email protected].
