Dear Saint Rose Families,

Tomorrow  grades K-5 will see the NED Show, which is a fun, interactive and high energy show for students to learn about themselves. The goal is to promote a culture of kindness.  The kids will have a good time and learn some yo-yo tricks along with the life lessons.  NED is a one day event, but it reinforces much of what we do everyday at Saint Rose. Our K-8 LifeSkills program is used throughout the year to promote qualities such as integrity, honesty, perseverance, kindness and more.  Mrs. Swavel is piloting a new program called "Be Kind" with our 5th grade students.  This program also focuses on positive behavior for our students.  These programs represent the most recent approach to student behavior. It is not enough to tell students not to bully or how to identify bullying. We must also reinforce the positive habits that help to make them great friends, people and Christians.  These same lessons are reinforced each week at Mass and in religion class. Just yesterday one of our 6th graders read from Corinthians and reminded us that "Love is Kind".

Sincerely,
Bryon Borgelt

LOW BALANCE ALERTS

Please be sure to check your child's lunch account through PaySchool on a regular basis!
We have many students with low balances and accounts will need to be replenished very soon.

Thank you for your assistance!

Poinsettia and Wreath Volunteer Needed

We are in need of one parent to coordinate the annual Middle School Poinsettia and Wreath Sale through Hoen's Greenhouse.  This annual sale helps individual students earn money to defray the costs of their class trips, such as 6th grade camp, 7th grade trip to Cleveland and 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. Last year's coordinator is happy to help guide you through the process.  We need one parent from any grades, 5-7.

Please email Dr. Borgelt if interested:   borgelt@saintroseonline.org

Thank you

Last Chance!
Join your child for Donuts!

Dads are welcome and encouraged to join their children for a donut, juice/water and coffee before school.

Join us Tuesday, September 25

If dad is unable to attend, grandfathers, step-dads, or uncles are welcome in their absence.

It's important to sign up however, so we can get an accurate donut count.

Attention Parents! We need your tabs!!
Pop tabs, beer tabs, soda water tabs!
Look for the drop off house inside the school entrance

We are collecting  tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Toledo.  The  tabs are taken to a recycling center in return for money that is used to provide meals, toiletries, and other associated costs incurred by guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

So, as you quench your thirst, please  pop off the  tabs and save them for the school.
