The Senior Accountant
is a key member of the finance team in our Rockville, MD office, reporting directly to the Controller. This position addresses tight deadlines involving a multitude of accounting activities such as general ledger preparation, accruals, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, month-end close, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, updating accounting procedures and internal controls, and special projects. The AV Field Install Technician is the primary field contact and coordinator for corporate, educational, gaming, sports, and broadcast projects under the direction of the Project Manager. In addition to performing installation duties, he or she shall be the point person in the field for crew delegation, client communication, installation standards, configuration, and training

Daily work involves conceptualizing design and animation solutions for broadcast and digital news stories as well as long-term projects such as promo work, show design, and branding. This person needs to be agile and able to work in an active, fast-paced news environment where priorities can change. Create stand-out materials beyond regular news graphics. Develop on brand creative across platforms and media utilizing audio, video and graphic design.
The ideal candidate will have a diverse portfolio with strong infographics, typography, animation, 2D/3D design, set design, web design, promo shooting, working with agencies, and knowledge of broadcasting - especially news and current affairs. A reel or portfolio will be required to apply.

The ideal candidate delivers fresh, high-quality knowledge in the beauty industry and provides insight into our creative, PR, and Sales/Marketing teams.

California is Third to Codify Rigorous Test - But May Not Be Last
In September, California passed legislation making the "ABC Test" the standard when classifying workers as independent contractors or employees.
California is the third state to codify the "ABC Test," following Massachusetts and New Jersey, while
other states use it in certain situations. Meanwhile, a joint memorandum between the IRS and the Department of Defense has outlined a game plan to reduce misclassification on a federal level.
