Anticipated major:
  • I am majoring in Business, primarily Marketing Management
Career goals:
  • Ideally, I want to pursue a career in a Sports Management program as it would offer me the opportunity to work in two fields which have always appealed to me.....sports and the business world.
How my Catholic faith resonated with me today as a teenager:
  • I try to set a good example for others and lead by actions as well as words. I understand the impact of good manners at all times and go out of my way to talk to people outside my close circle of friends. I try not to judge people and strive to be the best person that I can be. I pray often and reach out to God for guidance.
What I learned at SSPP that has helped me in high school:
  • I learned to never give up. I strive to be true to who I am, and to stay young at heart. I have learned the importance of putting faith first in my life and always remembering that my peers are also children of God. I have also learned to appreciate the value of a good education and the importance of respecting my teachers and my family.
Teacher at SSPP who had the most influence on me:
  • Ms. Lincoln had the most influence on me because she pushed me to always work hard and never settle for just getting by. She was strict, but fair, and treated me like a young adult. I admired her genuine care about her students and going out of her way to make sure we were okay and were going down the right path academically and in life.
Best Peter and Paul experience that I cherish:
  • I cherish my 8th grade basketball 80's Night game. It created memories that I will never forget. I remember the gym being filled to capacity with cheering fans inspiring us to an overtime victory against St. Joan of Arc.
Advice for current students:
  • My advice for students is to stay focused on your school work but also remember to enjoy your time at SSPP because it goes by fast. Get off your cell phones and go out and hang with friends and go to events. Live life through each other's presence, not through your technology. Have the time of your life as kids because growing up has its ups and downs.

SSPP TRIVIA

When our school was founded in 1853....

........nearly all candy available to children was chocolate.  In 1912, chocolate maker Clarence Crane wanted an alternative that could stand up to  the summer heat and what he created was the original Pep O Mint flavor.  He called them Life Savers because they looked like life preservers.
