Wilson Education Foundation Announces Annual Bash Fundraiser
Enjoy an evening out with fellow Wilson parents, alumni, and supporters at the Wilson Education Foundation Casino Bash! All proceeds from the event support the Foundation, which supports students and teachers by funding academic programs, grants, scholarships, district events and facility upgrade campaigns. The event will include food, beverages, live music, Wilson-exclusive auction items, casino games, & more. In addition, we are excited to present the 2018 Legacy Award to Roy G. Snyder. The Casino Bash will be held on Saturday, November 17 from 6:30- 11 pm at the Berkshire Country Club. Tickets can be purchased here . 
Wilson Homecoming THIS Friday Night!
Don't miss this year's Homecoming festivities! The night kicks off with the induction of the Wilson Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2018, which includes Chelsea Beck, Dave Moyer, Doug Myer, Vanessa Rivera, Samantha Simcox, Patricia Stubblebine and Nick Woomer. You can read more about our inductees here . The induction ceremony will take place at 5:00 pm on 9/21/18 in the Staff Development Room of the Wilson Administration building. Our 2018 inductees will also be recognized during half-time, along with this year's Homecoming Court.

Then... at 7:00 pm at Gurski Stadium, you can cheer our Bulldogs on to victory as the football team takes on Penn Manor High School!

Pink-OUT Shirts For Sale!
This year's Pink-OUT football game will be held on Friday October 5, at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Wilson High School Student Government will be selling their annual Pink-OUT shirts in order to raise funds for breast cancer research. 

Shirts are on sale online for $12 each. You can place your o rder here . Deadline for orders is Sunday, September 23 at midnight. In order to waive the shipping fee, use the promo code WHSPICKUP (all caps). All orders will be picked up at school, so no shipping is necessary.

Shirts will be available for pickup on Wednesday, October 3 and Thursday, October 4 in the Auditorium lobby from 2:40-3:15 pm and again from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Upper House office entrance.

The Wilson Education Foundation BIDPAL Auction allows community members to bid on Wilson-themed items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Upcoming School Schedule Changes
Students will have an early dismissal on Thursday, September 27. Secondary students will be dismissed at 11 am and Elementary students will dismiss at 11:45 am.

There will be no school for students in the Wilson School District on Monday, October 8, due to a scheduled Instructional Professional Development Day. District offices will observe normal business hours.
Wilson Theater Company to Present "Boeing, Boeing"

The Wilson Theater Company announces its first main stage production of the season. Boeing, Boeing arrives in West Lawn on October 4, 5 & 6. This riotous farce recently enjoyed hit revivals in London and New York—so fasten your seat belts and get ready for this non-stop comedy! Tickets can be purchased here .
Wyomissing Restaurant Fundraiser for Grace Austerberry THIS Sunday, September 23

Grace Austerberry is the daughter of Wilson teacher and field hockey coach, Christy Austerberry. Last month, at 9 months old, Grace went from being a perfectly healthy baby to having seizures that ultimately resulted in her being admitted to CHOP. She was recently diagnosed with Alper's Syndrome, which is extremely rare. The Austerberry's are prepared to do all they can to give Grace the best care. As a Wilson community, we want to help this loving family in their time of need. A fundraiser will be held at the Wyomissing Restaurant on September 23, from 4-8 pm, where 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the family. Wilson Students Showcase Art at Berks County Community Foundation Art Show

We are thrilled that our students were selected to showcase their art at the Berks County Community Foundation. The show will be open from October 1, 2018- January 18, 2019 (Monday-Friday from 9 am- 4 pm). An Opening Reception will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 2-4 pm. Learn more here .
October 5 Grid Iron Classic Tickets for Sale!
We are excited to announce that Wilson will host Hempfield for the October 5 Varsity Football game at First Energy Stadium as part of the 2018 Gridiron Classic. All attendees at the game on October 5 will need to purchase a ticket. To purchase reserved or general admission tickets to the game, click here .

The Wilson Football Boosters are hosting an event that evening at the Pool Pavilion, which includes admission to the game and a full dinner buffet. You can purchase tickets for this special event here .

Wilson Soccer Youth Night
Come out and support the Wilson Boy’s High School soccer team on October 1 at Bulldog Field (game time is 5:45 pm) for Youth Night. All registered Wilson Junior Soccer Club players wearing their jerseys will get in for free! Learn more here .
Wilson Aquatics Events and Opportunities
BEAST OF THE EAST

On September 28th and 29th Wilson will be coordinating and hosting the largest Water Polo Tournament on the East Coast! The Beast of the East Tournament encompasses 10 host pools and 62 teams from all across the East Coast. In its 28th year the tournament has become a staple for Water Polo Excellence in the Aquatics Community. Join us in person or online at our Beast of the East website for updated results and a live stream of the Wilson site.

Nominate Students in Need for "People Caring About People" Donation Program
Sun Federal Credit Union, a community partner of the Wilson School District, is once again accepting nominations for their "People Caring about People" donation program.

Eligibility : A student/family who attends Wilson School District.

How to Nominate: A teacher, administrator, staff or community member can nominate a Wilson student or family in need by submitting a short essay regarding the donation need and how these funds/items can help improve the student's or family's quality of life. Click here to review the program guidelines. To submit a nomination, complete the online application.

Selection Process: All nominations are forwarded to Sun Federal CU's philanthropy group for review. If selected by Sun, the requested item can be delivered to the nominator to present to the nominee, or nominators CAN choose to remain anonymous and other arrangements will be made to provide the donation to the nominee.
