Special Hurricane Offering
Hurricane Florence has brought devastation to communities in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. More specifically, this massive storm has created havoc for many who live not too many miles away from Belin Memorial. In a matter of hours more flooding will come as rivers overflow their banks. For certain, it will take a long time to repair the damage and for families to recover.

At this particular time, praying and donating money are the two most effective ways to help. This Sunday, we shall pray for all those whose lives have been disrupted by Hurricane Florence. We shall pray for first responders and other working with survivors. We shall give those who worship with us an opportunity to make a special offering. All monies collected will STAY for LOCAL recovery! Please be generous this Sunday, keeping in mind that this storm could have devastated the lives of many in our church family.

Our group will "walk" through Israel to learn about the historic sites of the land using scripture and the book "The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi" to help us understand its significance to our Christian faith. We will view Israel from a different perspective and grow in our affection for the story of our faith as told in God's word, the Bible. Study members will engage in reading, discussions, informative videos, and weekly fellowship with other "travelers."

Please purchase a copy of the book (and study guide if you wish to have your own; study guide is optional). Items are available in stores or online at Books-a Million, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Target, or at www.christianbook.com
