Minnesota DNR and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers host public meeting; Comments accepted until Sept. 27
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) hosted a public meeting together on Thursday, Sept. 13, in Moorhead.

The meeting began with an open house for the public to learn more about two documents, one from each agency. Both documents were reviews of the Diversion Board of Authority's Plan B Project that was submitted in March to the agencies.

The DNR prepared a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) and the USACE prepared a Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment.

More than 100 people attended the event and a handful provided comments to DNR Commissioner Landwehr and USACE Col. Sam Calkins orally.

Comments on the document are being accepted now through 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018.
