TASC Condemns Terrorist Attack at Pittsburgh Synagogue

Expresses Sympathies to Victims Families and Congregation,
Stands in Solidarity with Jewish American and Immigrant Communities

The Turkish American National Steering Committee (TASC) condemns today’s terrorist attack that massacred at least eight worshippers and wounded six, including four law enforcement officers at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was an act of hatred against people of Jewish heritage and the broader community of immigrants, as posted by the gunman on social media against the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society that helps refugees worldwide and immigrants in the United States.

TASC expresses its sympathies to the families of the victims and the wounded and Tree of Life Congregation, and stands in solidarity with the Jewish American and immigrant communities of America.

TASC urges greater safety measures in the purchase of weapons, neighborhoods that support their intelligence and law enforcement communities, and a proactive political leadership that keeps the promise of America as originally authored by Minister Francis Bellamy: "One Nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”  http://www.ushistory.org/documents/pledge.htm
