What is the Apprenticeship Program?
The program is geared towards pre-professional and recreational training in Performing Arts and competition based Aerial Acrobatics. An apprentice learns on-stage performance techniques including choreographic routines, group / team routines and artistic interpretative performance. It also includes knowledge of back-stage, pre/post production activities including costume & make-up, props, rehearsal time management and teamwork. Each applicant will be assessed and placed based on their skills and background. Apprentice can choose to be part of its yearly full-length production, and outreach demonstrations including the TRI-ART Festival, West Coast Aerial Art Festival, Orange County Great Parks and the OC Fairgrounds.

Geared towards creativity of existing skill sets and based on vocabulary of the student, the Creative Lab i
every Thursdays 6:30pm
s also where the students work by themselves to develop, expand and perfect existing fundamentals and vocabularies for choreographic phrases. When working with a partner or a group for projects, to allows one to interact and synergize the energy for innovation based on learned skills. It provides time and space to methodically put together creations with mandatory elements of story telling, audience impact, artistic content, educational and entertainment value.

Class types include Tricks and Fitness classes: Aerial Conditioning, Aerial Yoga, Aerial Kids, Aerial Beginners, Trapeze, Rope, Mallakhamb and Aerial Dance Fitness. All level 2 classes need to be approved by our school. Aerial classes generally include Tissu/ Silks, Lyra/ Hoop, Rope, Trapeze and Hammock unless otherwise stated.
May attend other non-aerial classes (excluding those taught by guest instructor and classes with 1 or more students reserved).

IATA - COALITION AERIAL ARTS
IATTP Regular Track is scheduled February 19, 2017. Fast track: May 15, 2017 (Levels 1 & 2)
RKP/OCAA is employing IATTP graduates to cover aerial classes. We will provide special payment plan for your course. Please contact us to discuss opportunities
To our IATTP Graduates - please make sure you complete your continuing education credits.
AAA certified teachers need 300 points for the
1st two years and 200 point every year thereafter.
Additionally, join the IATA Program (International Aerial Teachers Alliance). This organization is a coalition of aerial arts teachers and schools and promotes closer communication.
